HPCheck-up show – Episode 2

Knee Pain Month Continues!

Research has shown that movement combined with hands on treatment is one of the most effective ways to deal with knee pain. As the days get warmer and longer you become more active and knee pain can rear its ugly head. This is why June is knee pain month here at HPC!

The Site of Pain Isn’t Always the Cause

As you probably remember from last week we highlighted Corey last week and how he began his journey with conquering his knee pain. We talked about a few things but the crazy part is that was just the first visit.

So what did we do on the second visit?

Dr. Ian took the information from the motion assessment and how Corey responded to the first treatment and decided to progress to some nuanced hip stretches specific to Corey’s needs. A “common” anterior hip stretch or seated posterior hip stretch with some small changes can be a very powerful tool for getting range of motion back in a joint. This is a vital step in our process of helping you create long lasting change.

Dr. Ian is Back to the Office

Dr. Ian and his wife welcomed their first child into the world last week. Be sure to congratulate him on his new role next time you see him! Dr. Ian will be back tomorrow, Monday the 12th and will be seeing patients on Mondays and Wednesdays for the remainder of the month.

If you absolutely need to be seen while Dr. Ian is out of the office you can call the front desk and schedule with Will, our new Chiropractic Resident, who you may have seen around the office lately.
