CLOSED TREATMENT ROOMS, N-95 MASKS, HAND SANITIZER, DISINFECTANT, AND SCREENING
Many physical therapy and chiropractic offices are closed because of COVID-19. Some are closed for philosophic reasons and others are closed because they have no mechanism by which to keep patients safe. Open-air treatment rooms, lack of protective equipment, or sufficient staffing to manage safety are all variables that produce vulnerability.
Health & Performance Center has 3 private treatment rooms that are disinfected after each patient. The doctor has an N-95 protective mask and is constantly using our stock of hand sanitizer and practicing appropriate hand washing during and after patient treatments. Furthermore, we are screening patients to investigate potential exposure or demographic and co-morbidity risks.
People may not agree
Undoubtedly, there will be people who disagree with our current measures, thinking of our office as non-essential. We understand their concern and bare no judgement should they decide to stay home. However, the vast majority of people we see are grateful for our decision to remain open on a modified schedule for acute and/or necessary treatments.
