Gravity is the issue. Therefore during sustained standing, gravity pushes our spine into compression. And compression can lead to inflammation and pain.
Achieving great standing posture isn’t the hardest thing, but it is often more difficult than we realize. The standing glute hamstring activation exercise gives us a great opportunity to improve our control. And because we don’t have to get on the floor, it can be done almost anywhere.
